Kyle Fletcher is no longer the TNT Champion after relinquishing the AEW title due to injury.

Prior to the April 8 episode of Dynamite, Tony Khan announced that Fletcher would be out for months, meaning that he is unable to defend his TNT Championship. Fletcher last competed on the March 28 episode of Collision, but was seen hobbling during the match. No details on the injury have been provided at the time of writing.

Fletcher won the TNT Championship on the February 11 episode of Dynamite, defeating Tommaso Coampa after the former WWE star won the title in his debut match a few weeks prior.

It was later announced that the next TNT Champion would be decided at the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view on April 12 in a Gauntlet match. Tommaso Ciampa defeated Mascara Dorada on Dynamite, meaning that he will be the number one entrant in the bout. Ciampa is the only announced entrant in the match.

The Casino Gauntlet match sees 2 wrestlers start in the ring, and more wrestlers are added at random intervals. Whoever picks up the first pinfall or submission will win the match and become the new TNT Champion.
