The latest GCW Homecoming show saw multiple surprise appearances, including former WWE stars Karrion Kross and Scarlett.
The main event of the show that took place on August 23 saw Matt Cardona face Shotzi following a war of words and multiple attacks between the two on social media. The first surprise appearance was that of deathmatch legend and GCW icon Nick Gage, who had been absent from the promotion for over a year. After Tommy Invincible first parodied Gage to rile up the crowd, the real Nick Gage made his entrance and assisted Shotzi by smashing a bundle of light tubes over Cardona’s head.
Later in the match, multiple druids stormed the ring to help Cardona. However, 2 of the druids were Kross and Scarlett, who received a thunderous ovation from the fans in attendance. Scarlett hit a low blow on Cardona, followed by Kross sending the former Intercontinental Champion through a door to allow Shotzi to pick up the victory.

The departure of Kross has been a unique one, with many fans believing that the surprise exit is part of a grander storyline given his popularity prior to leaving the company and WWE now looking to blur the lines more than ever in an attempt to trick the media, especially with the recent launch of WWE Unreal on Netflix.
Appearing backstage following the match, Kross was seen playing a violin and saying he was “so sad.” Kross then smashed the violin against the wall and yelled “It’s not a f*cking work” and that he wasn’t sad anymore, promising that more violence would be coming to Cardona soon.
Kross has previously competed in 4 GCW matches, including Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport over WrestleMania weekend earlier in the year.
