Contrary to what some had predicted, John Cena will not be going into the Hall of Fame as part of the 2026 class.
As reported by WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, Cena is not expected to be inducted in Las Vegas later in the year and that Stephanie McMahon is expected to be the headline act. It is also noted that another “immortal moment” is expected to be recognised at the show, which will see another iconic match inducted following on from Bret Hart and Steve Austin’s clash at WrestleMania 13. No update has been provided on when Cena will receive his induction.
McMahon was surprised by The Undertaker at WrestlePalooza, where The Deadman let her know that she would be honoured the following year. No other inductees have been announced at the time of writing.
Fans Will Have To Wait For John Cena Hall Of Fame Induction
Easily the biggest star of the 21st century and having won more World Championships than anyone in WWE history, Cena is a lock for a future Hall of Fame induction whenever the time comes. The Hollywood star has not made any appearances on TV since his last match in December 2025, which saw him lose to Gunther via submission. The match came at the end of the year long retirement tour, which saw Cena turn heel at Elimination Chamber and win his record-breaking 17th World Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 41 by pinning Cody Rhodes. Cena lost the title back to Rhodes in the main event of SummerSlam the following year.
