John Cena Doubles Down On Request For Future WWE Match

John Cena has an opponent in mind for one of his final WWE matches, and has called for Triple H to make it official before the end of the year.

With just 5 appearances left as part of the 2025 retirement tour, fans are now preparing themselves for the 17-time World Champion to step inside the squared circle one last time. Of the 5 appearances, 3 are taking place on Premium Live Events or specials, indicating that these will be the final 3 matches of Cena’s career that has spanned more than 2 decades.

Although Cena has already faced the likes of Randy Orton, CM Punk and Brock Lesnar as part of the farewell tour, there are still one or 2 names from his past that could face off against the Hollywood star one final time.

One of Cena’s greatest rivals of the past 10 years was AJ Styles, with both men feuding between 2016 and 2018, multiple times with the WWE Championship at stake. With just a few opportunities left in-ring, Cena has stated that he wants one more round with The Phenomenal One.

Following up on an initial post that was made on social media on September 22, Cena echoed the calls of the fans to have Triple H book him against Styles one final time:

“I do not choose my opponents, but I (even through tough times) ALWAYS listen to the fans,” Cena wrote. “@AJStylesOrg are you listening? Better yet @TripleH….. are YOU listening???”

Given the time of the social media post, it appears that this is planting the seed for both men to face off at Crown Jewel on October 11, which will air live from Perth in Australia. It should also be noted that Cena is not scheduled to make any appearances on TV from now until Crown Jewel.

Cena’s most recent match took place at Wrestlepalooza, which saw him squashed by Brock Lesnar in the opening match of the show.

When Will John Cena Compete In His Final WWE Match?

The remaining dates on the retirement tour are as follows:
