Former WWE star Jinder Mahal will return to professional wrestling on July 26th.
Mahal was one of the multiple names released from WWE on April 19th and is currently waiting out his 90-day no-compete clause, which is standard with all main roster releases. On July 19th, all the released stars will become free agents and are free to compete for other promotions. One week after he becomes a free agent, Mahal will make his debut for Black Label Pro wrestling at the “Old Habits Die SCREAMING” event in Chicago next month.
At the time of writing, it is unknown who Mahal will face at the event. Mahal will also compete under the name “The Maharaja” Raj Dhesi moving forward.

Jinder Mahal Continues His Wrestling Journey Following WWE Exit
The Modern Day Maharaja’s WWE career will be best remembered for his World Championship reign in 2017, where Mahal defeated Randy Orton at Backlash to become the 50th wrestler to hold that championship. Defeating Shinsuke Nakamura at SummerSlam, Mahal eventually lost the WWE Championship to AJ Styles at a SmackDown taping in Manchester, UK.
Other notable highlights from Mahal’s career included a reign as the United States Champion and being advertised as the returning WWE Champion on the January 1st, 2024 episode of Raw. The angle was proved to be a swerve as The Rock was revealed to be the actual big name advertised ahead of time. Mahal briefly feuded with Seth Rollins before being released shortly after WrestleMania 40.
