Contrary to previous reports, Jade Cargill may not be injured after all.
On the November 22nd episode of SmackDown, the Women’s Tag Team Champion was attacked backstage and seen on top of a car. A follow-up was provided by WWE, stating that Cargill had suffered a litany of injuries as a result of the attack. A further update by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter provided more concerning news that Cargill was dealing with a legitimate injury and would be out for a number of months:

We did get confirmation that Cargill is injured but the severity wasn’t known internally past those involved in creative were told it will be a minimum of three months out, maybe longer, which is why they released the story of such severe injuries.
Following the news breaking, many expressed concern over Cargill and wished for a full and speedy recovery. Additionally, fans expected an official announcement from WWE that Cargill and Bianca Belair would have to vacate their Women’s Tag Team Championships due to injury, meaning that the curse of the titles had returned. However, in a further update, this may not be the case.
As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, multiple sources in the company have stated that the claim that Cargill is injured is “100% incorrect.” Johnson reiterated that the attack is strictly storyline and the list of injuries by WWE was to sell the severity of the attack.

Signing with WWE in September 2023, many were excited to see Cargill in the company given her history in AEW. Following months of anticipation, Jade Cargill officially debuted in the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble and immediately impressed the fans with a strong showing. Cargill has continued to be dominant throughout the year with 2 reigns as Women’s Tag Team Champion.
