Gunther returns to the UK to defend the Intercontinental Title.
Matt Riddle has been provoking Imperium for a number of weeks, with the end goal in mind being to challenge Gunther for the championship.
On the June 26th episode of Raw, The Original Bro appeared in a backstage segment, demanding a shot at the title. Following an initial confrontation from Ludwig Kaiser, Gunther blindsided Riddle, accepting the challenge.
