Hulk Hogan Plays Voicemail From Donald Trump During Last Interview: "You Were Unbelievable"

Hulk Hogan played a message from Donald Trump during his final interview that sees the US President hugely sing the praises of the WWE icon.

The new docuseries centred around the wrestling legend, Hulk Hogan: Real American, tells the story of the life and career of Terry Bollea and how he became the biggest star in all of pro wrestling.

During the final episode, where Hogan’s decision to actively endorse the Republican candidate is discussed, Hogan plays an audio recording on his phone from Trump. The President gushes over Hogan and how much of an impact he had at the Republican rally in New York:

“Hulk, it’s your all-time favorite president. I just wanted to tell you, you were unbelievable at the convention. Like, the talk of the town. We had, by the way, I don’t know if you heard, the biggest ratings they’ve ever had for any of these things by far. Fox had the biggest ratings they’ve ever had, and you were the star.”

“Nobody could do what you did, and entertain. We love having you on our side. You’re a winner, man. You’re a champ and a winner, and I think it was really good for you too, I have to tell you. Everyone was really impressed. Take care of yourself, thanks, bye.”

Donald Trump Interviewed For Hulk Hogan Series

Along with some of the most prolific names in wrestling discussing Hogan, Trump is featured multiple times in the series as part of an interview conducted in The White House.

Trump first appears in episode 2, where he recalls early meetings with Hogan in 1988 when WrestleMania V took place at Trump Plaza in Atlantic City. The main event of the show saw Hogan face Randy Savage following the explosion of The Mega Powers.

Hogan’s explained his decision to endorse Trump in the series, noting that the assassination attempt was the point where he felt that he had to go public. Talking heads in the series noted that, much like many forms of entertainment, sharing political views is not the best idea.

Speaking about Hogan and comparing the wrestler to his own career, Trump admits that Hogan was a controversial figure, but so is he:

“Hulk was always very controversial. That’s okay, I’m fairly controversial. I think I’ve become less controversial over the years, but I’m fairly controversial too, but I don’t think Hulk cares about that, and I don’t care about that either.”
