Hulk Hogan thinks very highly of this WWE star.
WWE is subtly setting up for the future with the rise of stars such as Ilja Dragunov, Tiffany Stratton and Lyra Valkyria all poised to be top stars and who have already made an impact despite being under 30 years of age and yet to hit their prime. Among the young stars who continue to make an impact is Bron Breakker, who let main roster fans know what he could do in the Royal Rumble and has continued to impress on Raw each week with his high-impact moves, speed and athleticism.
The former NXT Champion could become the next Intercontinental Champion at Money in the Bank as he challenges Sami Zayn for the title in Toronto. With many expecting Breakker to become a World Champion in his career, Hogan believes he could be the next defining star of his era.
Speaking with Bill Apter of Sportskeeda, the Hall of Famer was asked about Bron Breakker’s time on the main roster so far, to which Hogan responded that Breakker could be the next Steve Austin or the Rock:
“He’s something else. He’s wise beyond his years, To be that intense and to know that the red light is on and be able to stay in that zone, it’s very impressive. If they do the right thing with him, that could be the next Stone Cold [Steve Austin], Rock, or Hulk Hogan. He could be the guy.”
“I Hope Bron Breakker Figures It Out”: Hulk Hogan
The WWE icon was then asked if he saw similarities between Breakker and another wrestler who was known for laying waste to their opponents, former WCW World Champion Goldberg:
“A lot of similarities. He has that extra spice. Bill had a certain thing. I had a certain thing. Rock had a certain thing. Bron Breakker has all of the above, plus he has a little extra spice on his plate. He’s ramped it up, and he’s just getting started. I can’t even imagine what’s going to happen when he really figures it out.”
“He’s beyond the ‘quick kill’ protection. He can go, from what I see. He’s been broke in the correct way. He’s put time in. He’s ready to go. Moving forward, I hope he learns and picks up more wisdom. Some guys are in the business for 15 to 20 years, they think they’re smart and they’re main event guys, but they never figure it out. I hope Bron Breakker figures it out. If he does, he’s going to be hard to deal with.”
H/t to Fightful.
