A massive match has been made official for the upcoming AEW Grand Slam in Australia.
Opening the January 22nd episode of Dynamite, Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega met face to face as Ospreay looked to settle their differences and become united to take down The Don Callis Family. While Omega seemed to be reluctant to team with his former rival at first, both men eventually got on the same page after they were interrupted by Don Callis and attacked by Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher.
Following a wild brawl that went all around the arena, Omega and Ospreay eventually stood tall, leading to Omega issuing the challenge to Takeshita and Fletcher, which was later made official.
The tag match is the second match to be made official for the AEW debut in Australia. The other match announced will see Toni Storm challenge Mariah May for the AEW Women’s Championship in a rematch from All In. Storm earned her opportunity at the title by emerging victorious in the Women’s Casino Gauntlet match.
