Gunther’s challenger for the Intercontinental Championship has been decided.
As seen on the March 11th episode of Raw Sami Zayn ran the gauntlet to become the new number one contender for The Ring General’s title. The match has been confirmed for WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia and is the latest title match to be made official.
JD McDonagh and Ricochet started the match, with McDonagh being eliminated first. Bronson Reed entered next, dispatching Ricochet. Zayn entered next to eliminate Reed, with Reed attacking Zayn after the bell. Zayn would overcome Shinsuke Nakamura and finally Chad Gable to secure his WrestleMania spot.
