More details have been provided on the Bron Breakker injury that resulted in the WWE star requiring surgery.
On February 8, news broke that Breakker had undergone surgery after suffering a major hernia. With no more details being provided at the time, a follow-up report the following day shed more light on the situation.
As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Breakker suffered the injury when he tipped over the announce table on the first episode of Raw following the Royal Rumble. The former Intercontinental Champion destroyed the announce desk as he was irate at being eliminated from the Royal Rumble after being attacked by a masked figure on his way to the ring. A further report added that breakker’s health was not the reason for his short stint in the Rumble.
The WrestleMania direction for Breakker seemed to be a one-on-one match against Seth Rollins. However, now that both Breakker and Rollins are not a certainty for the event in April, it remains unknown if the match will go ahead as planned.
Bron Breakker Injury Update Provided On WWE Raw
Breakker was discussed during the introduction of the February 9 episode of WWE Raw. Shortly after Superstars were seen making their arrival into the venue, Michael Cole noted that Breakker suffered an injury during training and that he would be out of action “indefinitely.” Later in the show, Paul Heyman was seen confronting Raw General Manager Adam Pearce about the situation, selling the severity of Breakker’s injury.
