A former WWE star has officially announced their retirement from professional wrestling following their release from the company.
Sarah Logan, also known as Valhalla in her final run in the company, let fans know in June 2025 that WWE would not be renewing her contract when it expired. Despite being a free agent for more than 6 months, the Logan, real name Sarah Rowe, has not been seen in another wrestling promotion. During a recent interview, Rowe confirmed that her time inside the squared circle had come to an end.
Appearing on the Wise Traditions podcast, Rowe spoke about her first release in 2020, where she was one of many wrestlers cut from the company during the pandemic:
“Very carefully. No, actually, I just dove right in, not carefully at all. So, when COVID happened, they let go like 150 wrestlers. I was one of those wrestlers at the time that got let go. So, my husband was still hired. I got let go. So, we were like, let’s have a baby and let’s see about like, I always wanted to grow my own food. I come from a family of farmers that used to like rent land to farm on, but they were very much like traditional agriculture farming, like every corn fed, red Angus, all the stuff. And so, I knew I wanted to get back to that, but I wanted to do it differently because I know what I know. And when the day I got fired, I started looking into starting a farm here because we had the land. We bought a place with like 20 acres of agricultural fields.”
During her time away from WWE, Rowe focused on farming and became a mother with her husband Erik, who is one half of the tag team The War Raiders, previously known as The Viking Raiders. Continuing the interview, Rowe, 32, spoke about her return in 2022 and second release, noting that prior to the return she had thought about becoming a mother and farmer permanently:
“Okay, so when I was on the road, and I thought about becoming a mother and becoming a farmer, you’re like, wow, that sounds so peaceful. Like, what if I never want to come back to wrestling? What if I just want to stay at the farm? And like, once that happened and once I, because I got fired, had a baby, got re-hired, and so got re-hired, and then I just left the company permanently. My contract just expired on the 5th, and I’m not renewing it.”
“So I, when at first I was like, I don’t want to come back to wrestling. Maybe I just want to start a homestead and be a farmer and a mother. And once that happened, my body wasn’t used to that peace. And I like, I was like scared of it. And I didn’t ever, I never felt like I was doing enough.”
Rowe then confirmed that she left wrestling to focus on agriculture, and spoke more about what she is trying to accomplish at this stage of her life:
“Obviously, I left wrestling to solely focus on those things. And I really just try to cultivate an environment where everything that lives on my farm is nourished and taken care of from life to death.”
Former WWE Star Sarah Logan [Valhalla] Confirms Retirement
Following a run on the independents, Rowe signed her WWE contract in 2016. After entering the Mae Young Classic, where she was eliminated in the first round, Rowe went on to make her main roster debut as part of The Riott Squad alongside Ruby Riott [now Ruby Soho in AEW] and Liv Morgan. In 2019, the group were broken up as part of the Superstar Shakeup, leading to Rowe having a brief solo run before her 2020 release.
When Rowe made her return in 2022, she was repackaged under the name Valhalla and frequently accompanied The Viking Raiders to the ring as part of their matches. Valhalla’s final match took place in February 2024, where she was unsuccessful in a battle royal to determine an entrant in that year’s Elimination Chamber match.
Sarah Rowe and Erik have 2 children together.
