Two title matches are now set for WWE NXT Great American Bash 2026, as the top 2 champions will be in action on the show.
Number one contenders matches took place on the June 10 NXT broadcast. First, NARAKU earned his opportunity at Tony D’Angelo’s NXT Championship. NARAKU defeated Mason Rook on the show, with Kam Hendrix distracting Rook to allow NARAKU to capitalise. No stranger to winning championships in pro wrestling, the former EVIL previously captured the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship while in New Japan. This will be NARAKU’s first opportunity at the gold since his arrival in NXT earlier in the year.
Later in the night, Kendal Grey earned her opportunity for the NXT Women’s Championship, which is currently held by Lola Vice. Grey defeated Kelani Jordan with the Shaes of Grey to win the match and advance to the Premium Live Event. Grey is a former Evolve Women’s Champion and won the Iron Survivor Challenge back in 2025.
Two more matches were added to the show on the June 16 broadcast. Along with Tavion Heights set to challenge Myles Borne for the North American Championship, Saquon Shugars is set to face Dion Lennox at the show.
The show is set to take place on June 28, the same day as TNA Slammiversary and AEW Forbidden Door.
