Ethan Page is a champion in WWE once again, this time the NXT North American Champion.
Competing on the May 27th episode of NXT, Page defeated Ricky Saints to win the title for the first time in his career. The match saw Page drop Saints throat-first onto a chair, affecting the former champion for the rest of the match. Despite a valiant effort from Saints, Page won the match with a Twist of Fate.
The victory by Page brings Saints’ reign to an end at 55 days. Additionally, the victory adds to Page’s championship record as he is a former NXT Champion. Page won the NXT title shortly after his arrival, setting a new record for the quickest time from arrival to holding championship gold.
Later in the night, Page’s celebrations were cut short by Je’Von Evans, Rey Fenix, and Laredo Kid, all of whom will challenge Page for the North American Championship at Worlds Collide on June 7th.
Ethan Page & Jacy Jayne Win Championships On NXT
Page was not the only new champion crowned on the May 27th episode of NXT. In one of the most shocking results in recent WWE history, Jacy Jayne defeated Stephanie Vaquer to become the new NXT Women’s Champion. Jayne won the title thanks to assistance from the rest of Fatal Influence.
