Could Erick Rowan be making his way back to WWE?
When Triple H took over as Head of WWE Creative in 2022, multiple talents who were let go during the pandemic were gradually brought back into the company such as Bronson Reed, Dakota Kai and Karrion Kross. According to a new update by an independent promotion, the former Tag Team Champion could be the next Superstar to make their return.
Roawn was scheduled to be a part of the East Coast Pro Wrestling show Coal Town Carnage. However, in an update from ECPW on their Facebook page, Rowan is no longer going to appear due to “new contractual obligations”:
We have just received word this evening from Erick Rowan that unfortunately he will not be able to make his scheduled appearance next week at Coal Town Carnage.
Erick stated that new contractual obligations are preventing him from making several dates including ours. This is the first time in ECPW history that one of our scheduled stars cancelled and it is out of our control. With that being said, the show will still feature Former WWE Superstar Brian Kendrick, the debut of Vanessa Kraven plus all of the superstars or East Coast Pro Wrestling.

Erick Rowan Rumoured To Be Returning To WWE
During his time with WWE, Rowan was a part of The Wyatt Family. Sadly, both founding members tragically passed away as Brodie Lee died in 2020 and Bray Waytt died in 2023. Rowan was seen at both tribute shows on AEW and WWE TV but was not under contract with each promotion as he was released from his WWE contract in 2020 and has been working on the independents ever since.
In the past few weeks, rumours and reports have been generated regarding Bo Dallas’ return to television. Dallas portrayed Uncle Howdy in the segments involving Wyatt in early 2020. Additionally, Braun Strowman is close to returning after being out with injury for close to a year.
