Dustin Rhodes has seen his TNT Championship reign come to an end following his latest match on AEW Collision.

On the July 31 episode of the show, The Natural lost the title to Kyle Fletcher in a bloody street fight. After targeting Rhodes’ knee throughout, including an assault with a screwdriver, Fletcher hit the running knee and the brainbuster to win the match and the championship. After the match, Fletcher continued the knee attack by placing Rhodes’ knee in a chair and driving it into the ringpost. Fletcher then celebrated on the entrance ramp with The Don Callis Family to close out the segment.

Kyle Fletcher Dethrones Dustin Rhodes To Win TNT Championship On AEW Collision

The victory marks the first AEW championship reign for Fletcher and brings to an end Rhodes’ reign at 18 days. Fletcher was originally set to challenge then TNT Champion Adam Cole at All In: Texas earlier in the month. However, due to Cole suffering an injury with no timetable of return, the decision was made to have the TNT Title vacated. An emotional Cole appeared in front of the Texas crowd and made the announcement that he was unsure when or if he would be back in the ring.

A 4-way match took place at All In: Texas, which was won by Rhodes that also featured Fletcher, Sammy Guevara and Daniel Garcia.
