Former TNA President Dixie Carter will not feature in the next season of Dark Side of the Ring.
As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Carter turned down “multiple invitations” to be featured in the upcoming 3-part special on TNA, which will feature in season 7 of the popular VICE docuseries.
Carter served as the President of TNA when Panda Energy, a business which her family owned, purchased the company. Cater remained in the role for 15 years until her departure in 2017. As well as being the President of the promotion, Carter featured as an onscreen character and authority figure. One of her most famous segments saw her put through a table by Bully Ray. Carter made a surprise appearance on the AMC debut episode of Impact at the start of the year, but was heavily booed by the fans in attendance.
Carter has been blamed by fans for some of the more infamous TNA decisions during her tenure with the promotion. Notable issues included the Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff influences, trying to go head-to-head with WWE, and bringing back Vince Russo.
