Darby Allin Makes Surprise Return On AEW Dynamite

Darby Allin Confirms Injury; Mount Everest Climb Delayed

Darby Allin looks to be unstoppable!

Despite the fact that Allin suffered a broken foot and was recently hit by a bus, the former TNT Champion has seemingly defied the odds and will be officially back in action very soon.

In the main event of the May 15th episode of AEW Dynamite, Kazuchika Okada successfully defended the Continental Championship against Dax Harwood. Ahead of the match, it was announced that Eddie Kingston had suffered a serious injury at a New Japan event, but FTR teased that they have a backup. Following the title defence, Harwood was attacked by The Elite before Bryan Danielson and Cash Wheeler made the save.

Still outnumbered, Allin’s music hit to the shock of the Seattle crowd as the hometown hero made his surprise return and even the odds by attacking The Elite with a skateboard. It was later announced that Allin would be a part of the Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing.

Darby Allin Comments On Injury

After the show went off the air, Allin addressed the crowd and said the following:

“What a fucking crazy few months. Holy shit, I thought the worst happened when I broke my foot. Then I was in New York and got hit by a fucking bus. As you can see, I’m not 100%. I still have a little bit of a limp, I got a nose brace on. But fuck, I am going to Anarchy in the Arena because I want to defend AEW’s honor. Like I said, I’m not 100%. Jesus, when [Dax] just did that suplex, I was sitting criss-cross applesauce, and “A fucking beam hit me in the head. I thought I got knocked out. I was like, ‘There goes my return.’ [Laughs] I’m not gonna keep you here for long because there’s some more bad-ass action to come. I gotta go to the hospital or something. I’ll talk to you guys later,”

H/t to Fightful.
