Darby Allin Confirms Injury; Mount Everest Climb Delayed

AEW star Darby Allin will not be climbing Mount Everest this year.

As reported by TMZ, the former Tag Team Champion broke 3 bones in his right foot during his match against Jay White at the AEW Big Business special on March 13th. The spot that caused the injury occurred very early on in the match when Allin performed a front flip off the top rope. Allin continued the match despite the injury, losing to White at the special.

After the match, Bullet Club Gold attacked the former TNT Champion to give him a storyline injury so that he could make the expedition. Unfortunately, there was more truth to the injury. Allin quoted the article on social media and confirmed that his foot is broken and Everest will have to wait until next year.

Darby Allin Part Of Iconic Final Match

Prior to the match at Big Business against White, Allin teamed with Sting at AEW Revolution in what was The Icon’s final match. With both competitors walking into the match as Tag Team Champions, the duo defended the titles against The Young Bucks at the pay-per-view, which saw Allin dive off a 15-foot ladder and go crashing through a pane of glass. Allin’s back was instantly bloody and the former TNT Champion was out of action for most of the match.
