The rumours were indeed true, Danhausen has joined WWE and made his debut at Elimination Chamber in Chicago.
At the February 28 Premium Live Event, the former AEW star emerged from the mystery crate to signal his arrival in the company. The box was opened at the top of the entrance ramp, which saw a coffin inside. Following multiple dancers making their entrance with the wrestler’s signature make-up, the man himself then emerged in front of the WWE fans. Danhausen made his way to the ring and handed Michael Cole a jar of teeth before entering the ring. The lights then went out to end the segment.
On the Elimination Chamber post-show, Triple H said the following about Danhausen’s debut:
“Michael Cole got a nice bucket of teeth. I think we’re in for a fun time…whatever it is, it’s gonna be a blast,”
Danhausen also took to social media and issued a statement of his own:
“Danhausen is ALIVE and back inside your television.”
Danhausen Debut Teased Prior To Elimination Chamber
In the lead up to the show, a box was seen backstage on Raw and SmackDown, with instructions stating that it should not be opened until the day of Elimination Chamber. Although some speculated that Chris Jericho could be the one inside the crate, the bookies had Danhausen as the odds-on favourite heading into the show.
