Multiple sources have provided an update on Damian Priest following the events that took place at WWE Clash of the Castle.
Competing in the main event of the show, Priest successfully defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre thanks in large part to an assist from CM Punk, who delivered a low blow to McIntyre to allow Priest to capitalise and walk out of Glasgow still the champion, much to the anger of those in attendance.
Along with the shocking conclusion, the biggest talking point from the match took place in the early stages when Priest got his leg caught up in the ropes. Hanging upside down for a considerable amount of time, Priest was finally freed by the referee and continued the match while limping throughout and was also seen limping into the press conference.

With injuries affecting many top stars this year and with Rhea Ripley vacating her championship due to injury earlier in the year, there were concerns as to what the future would hold for Priest. At the press conference after the show, the World Heavyweight Champion stated that he did not feel great and would wait for further evaluation:
“It feels like trash now. I didn’t even go to medical yet so I could do this and answer your questions so you’re welcome. Docs will check it out but I mean, I ain’t going anywhere. I was able to beat Drew McIntyre with one foot, so I’m pretty sure I’m all good to go.”
Damian Priest “Dodged A Bullet”
Providing an update on F4WOnline, Dave Meltzer stated that the consensus is that Priest has escaped serious injury at the Premium Live Event:
Regarding Damian Priest, while we won’t know for sure until he gets his knee checked out, the feeling last night after the show was that he dodged a bullet and it wasn’t as bad as it appeared. He went to the press conference and before getting it looked at and said it feels like his knee was thrashed, but later that night we were told things were hopeful.
This has also been corroborated by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, who stated that Priest was “fine” and “effectively selling” throughout the match.
