Damian Priest Given Additional Perk With New WWE Deal

WWE star Damian Priest has detailed an extra benefit he received as part of his new deal.

Contract updates dominated pro wrestling news in 2024 with many top stars nearing the end of their contract and being offered lucrative, multi-year deals to remain a part of their respective company until further notice. Along with the likes of Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens and Drew McIntyre all committing, former World Heavyweight Champion Priest also secured his future.

While speaking with Cody Rhodes on his podcast What Do You Wanna Talk About? Priest stated that as part of his new deal, he is given much more comfortable seats for flights, which has been beneficial for the 6-foot-5 wrestler:

“This is a little brag. Last year, I signed a new contract with the company. Part of my contract, I’m a big guy, I don’t think I sat in first class in my life. I was like, ‘Hey, I don’t wanna be in pain anymore. I don’t wanna wrestle and then be [hunches over]. Because I’m sorry, I am a big guy and I don’t fit.’ And they were like, ‘Oh that’s not a problem, you should have had that already.’ I was like, ‘Well I don’t know the rules, I don’t know how to politic, I don’t know how to ask for stuff’.’ Just not me. But that was the first time they were like, ‘Yeah, you can sit at the front of the plane from now on.'” The first time this went into effect was when we went to Australia last year.”

Priest had a standout year in WWE in 2024. After cashing in his Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania 40 to become World Champion for the first time in his career, The Judgment Day member also headlined Clash at the Castle in Glasgow, Scotland. Competing against hometown hero Drew McIntyre, Priest retained the title thanks to interference from CM Punk.

The full interview dropped on June 11th.
