CM Punk looks to be taking a significant amount of time away from WWE TV.
Following his victory over Drew McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood, Punk appeared live in the opening segment of the October 7th episode of Raw. Heavily bandaged and limping out on the stage, Punk showed off his battle scars and it was very clear that he had been through a war.
Addressing the battle, Punk thanked those who believed in him and those who didn’t as they all made him a lot of money. Adding that he had not seen his wife in 5 weeks and he owes her a lot of flowers, Punk stated “I’d like to say I’ll see you soon, but I just don’t know. Thank you.” With this in mind, Punk looks to be taking ane extended break from WWE TV and there is no indication as to when he will return.
Despite the fact that Punk teased that this could be the end of his career, his next rivalry was seemingly set up on the night as Punk’s promo was interrupted by Seth Rollins, who stared down Punk to close out the segment.
CM Punk Escapes Injury Following Hell In A Cell Match
Despite the fact that Punk was involved in one of the most brutal stipulation matches in WWE history, thankfully no follow-up reports have indicated that he suffered any kind of injury in the match. Punk was injured early into his WWE return and missed a number of months of action, but stayed on TV during this time.
