CM Punk is going to WrestleMania 40.
During the March 18th broadcast on Monday Night Raw, a video package aired to provide fans with an update on CM Punk’s road to recovery. Punk noted where WrestleMania 40 will be and explained why he had to be there:
“WrestleMania is in Philadelphia. What are the first 4 letters of Philadelphia? Phil. You can’t have WrestleMania in Philadelphia without Phil. Whether I am invited or uninvited it never really matters with CM Punk, I’ll be there.”
CM Punk suffered a torn tricep during his return match at the Royal Rumble, which was his first televised back in WWE. Punk was scheduled to face off against World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins at Mania before the injury occurred. Punk is expected to be sidelined for around 6 months as a result of the injury. Despite being injured, the former World Champion has made multiple appearances for WWE media events.
CM Punk To Make WWE Raw Return
Despite the fact that he is injured, Punk will still appear on the March 25th episode of Raw. The upcoming taping will air from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, the hometown of The Second City Saint and the same venue where Punk made his shock return to the company back at Survivor Series 2023.
