WWE star Austin Theory recently became the subject of online speculation following a report concerning his status within the company.
On August 6, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that Theory has been moved off of WWE’s internal roster. As the news circulated on social media, multiple accounts misinterpreted the story to mean that Theory was no longer a part of the roster at all and would soon be exiting the company. However, in a follow-up report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Theory has been moved onto the injured list as he is out of action until further notice. Fightful adds that the former United States Champion is on the same list as Ilja Dragunov and Zoey Stark, both of whom are currently out injured.
Theory was last in action on the July 14 taping of Main Event.
Austin Theory No Longer With Grayson Waller In WWE
Prior to being side-lined with injury, Theory was regularly seen on TV alongside tag team partner Grayson Waller, which saw growing animostiy between both sides over the past few months. With Waller now aligned with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day, the Australian wrestler since addressed his previous partnership with Theory onscreen, noting that A-Town Down Under is no more. Waller lost to Penta on the August 4 episode of Raw, with the masked wrestler attacking The New Day after the bell.
