CJ Perry has given an unfortunate update on her road to recovery.
In December 2023, CJ Perry announced via social media that she had been hospitalised following an infection to her finger that spread up her arm. Following surgery, the AEW Star gave the update that the infection could have been fatal if left untreated. Perry would be discharged a few days later and was present at the Worlds End pay-per-view to accompany Andrade El Idolo to the ring for his lat AEW match, which saw El Idolo lose to Miro.
On January 10th, Perry let the fans know by social media that she would be returning to the hospital again due to complications:
On my way to the hospital again because complications happen with healing and infection possibly coming back. I find out soon if I need a second surgery
Perry would reveal that the infection was caused by a splinter and would post a series of updates throughout the recovery process.
When Did CJ Perry Debut For AEW?
Perry debuted for the promotion at All Out, walking to the ring unannounced following Miro’s match with Powerhouse Hobbs. At Worlds End, Perry helped Miro defeat El Idolo.
