Charlotte Flair is going to WrestleMania again in a history-making performance at the Royal Rumble.
Last eliminating Roxanne Perez, Flair outlasted the competition to win the match and become the first person to win the Women’s Royal Rumble match twice in her career. Flair entered the match at number 27 and picked up 4 eliminations before emerging the victor in what was the opening match of the show.
Flair missed all of 2024 after suffering a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus in late 2023 during a match on SmackDown. With Flair’s return announced ahead of time, The Queen was a heavy favourite to win the match. The match itself saw multiple surprise entrants including the official WWE debut of Jordynne Grace, the first appearance of Alexa Bliss in over 2 years and cameo appearances from Hall of Famers Trish Stratus and Nikki Bella.
Flair previously won the Royal Rumble match back in 2020, last eliminating Shayna Baszler. After winning the match, Flair chose NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley as her opponent and won the title at WrestleMania 36, which took place with no fans in attendance.
Who Will Charlotte Flair Choose?
At the time of writing, Flair’s options are a rematch with Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship, a match with WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton or NXT Women’s Champion Giulia. According to previous reports, Flair vs. Stratton appears to be the creative direction.
