Bryan Danielson Makes In-Ring Return As Part Of AEW Dynamite Pac Tribute Show

Bryan Danielson Makes Shock In-Ring Return On AEW Dynamite

Bryan Danielson made a one-off return to the ring as part of the main event of AEW Dynamite.

The September 30 edition of the show was a tribute to the late Pac, and featured a 10-man tag in the main event. With four members of The Deathriders in the ring, commentary pointed out to Jon Moxley that the group was one man down. While Moxley claimed that you have to sometimes roll with the punches, the surprise was one that few saw coming.

Following The Deathriders’ intro music, Danielson’s music played through the arena. The live fans erupted at the reveal and the match started as Danielson entered the ring. Teaming with former rivals Daniel Garcia, Wheeler Yuta, Gabe Kidd and Claudio Castagnoli, the 5 man team picked up the win over The Don Callis Family in the final match of the show. Moxley joined the group as part of the celebrations, bringing an emotional episode of Dynamite to a close.

Earlier in the night, Danielson made his way to the ring after Mox defeated Orange Cassidy in the opener. Both men embraced to squash their storyline beef, foreshadowing the main event return.

Tributes to Pac took place in-ring and in video packages throughout the night, as the company remembered Benjamin Satterley, who passed away the previous Sunday.

Bryan Danielson Wrestles First AEW Match In Nearly 2 Years

Danielson’s last AEW match took place in the main event of WrestleDream 2024. Reigning as the World Champion at that point, Danielson lost the title to Jon Moxley, bringing to an end his full-time career in the process. Danielson has made cameo appearances and gotten physical, but this was his first official match since then. Danielson has also been a part of AEW commentary following his in-ring career winding down.
