British Bulldog’s WWE Hall Of Fame Induction Happened In 2021
Davey Bory Smith was initially announced as a posthumous Hall of Fame inductee in the 2020 class, but the induction was delayed until the year later as a result of the COVID pandemic. Smith passed away in 2002, but fans have been calling for the former Intercontinental Champion to be honoured in the years since. Smith’s family inducted the late WWE star at the ceremony.
One of the most famous British wrestlers in the history of the sport, Bulldog had multiple runs in WWE along with Canadian promotion Stampede wrestling and various promotions in his home country of England. Smith married Diana Hart, and was welcomed into the prestigious Hart family.
Bulldog’s biggest match took place in 1992, which saw Smith defeat Bret Hart at SummerSlam to capture the Intercontinental Championship. The match took place in London in front of a packed crowd inside Wembley Stadium.
