It’s October so it’s time to construct the big cage once again as WWE Hell in a Cell Returns.
Now an event as opposed to a match, Hell in a Cell will feature multiple gimmick matches inside the cage, whether the feud requires it or not. While some matches will be filler and have predictable outcomes, there might be some surprises on the night. Here are some bold predictions for the event. Thanks to Reddit users asked in a Squared Circle post. Where appropriate, their usernames will be credited.
Expect A Big WWE Hell In A Cell Bump…
Unless the match features Shane McMahon, it is not a guarantee that someone will fall from a great height off the side (or the roof!) of the structure. However, this is where the element of no fans works to WWE’s advantage. By using crash mats for safety and careful camera angles, a big bump can be safely executed and look spectacular.
And It Will happen In The Women’s Match!
There are three cell matches. Randy Orton is not taking a big bump, we all know this. The Reigns vs Uso match will be more focused on weapons and cell walls to inflict punishment. That leaves the final cell match, Banks vs Bayley. The feud with the most buildup and possibly the most anticipated rematch for quite a while. They will want to steal the show and give the fans something to remember. Expect Bayley to run away from Sasha, try to escape up the cell and then whatever happens, happens.
The Fiend Appears
The third time has to be the charm for Orton right? This is the match where a new champion is most likely. Expect the lights to go out post-celebration and the creepy violin to appear. Bray Wyatt targets previous people who have wronged him, so Orton has to be in his sights in the near future.
Jimmy Costs Jey

Thanks to Zebrainatux on Reddit for this one. Jimmy Uso will more than likely make an appearance in this match, similar to how he did at Clash of Champions. There are two paths this could go down. Either Roman turns his aggression to Jimmy, forcing Jey to quit. Or in a similar finish to their last encounter, Jimmy throws in the towel. Either way, don’t expect Jey Uso to be saying those two words on Sunday.
An Unlikely Alliance
Thanks to Reddit user thunder3029 for this one. The prediction is that Jeff Hardy and Elias will come to the conclusion that neither hurt the other one with the car accident farce earlier this year. They will then team up to take down Sheamus together in the near future.
Hell in a Cell is this Sunday on the WWE Network
