Bobby Lashley vs. Goldberg Rematch Reportedly To Take Place In Saudi Arabia

Bobby Lashley looks set to defend his WWE Championship against Goldberg one more time. The WWE Champion looks set to face the Hall of Famer in Saudi Arabia in a rematch for the title.

The news has been announced by Twitter account Wrestlevotes, who have a good reputation for providing correct information.

Following the events of SummerSlam, a rematch seems inevitable. At the August 21st pay per view, the Lashley vs. Goldberg match ended via referee stoppage. Interference from MVP caused a leg injury to Goldberg, making the former Universal Champion barely able to stand and unable to compete. After the match, Bobby Lashley was jumped from behind by Goldberg’s son Gage. The Almighty WWE Champion then put Gage in The Hurt Lock until the teenager passed out.

On WWE’s YouTube channel, Goldberg has stated that he is out for vengeance against Lashley:

WWE announced a return to Saudi Arabia during the SummerSlam broadcast. This will be the first time that WWE will be hosting an event in the country since February 2020. In the main event of that show, Goldberg defeated The Fiend to capture his second Universal Championship.
