Big Things Planned Soon For Joe Hendry In WWE

Joe Hendry looks set to have a big change in WWE in the near future, shortly after he officially signed with the company.

As reported by Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, there are preparations in place to have Hendry make the move to the main roster imminently, with the Scottish star being rumoured to be a part of the SmackDown brand moving forward.

It is noted that there have been internal discussions about bringing up Hendry, who is currently part of the NXT brand, to move up to the Friday night show, and that the USA Network is very keen on having the former TNA Champion join the blue brand. Following multiple appearances as part of the WWE and TNA talent exchange agreement between both companies, Hendry officially signed with WWE in late 2025.

Over the past few weeks, various NXT stars, including Je’Von Evans and Trick Williams, have been seen on main roster programming. Being billed a free agents, the top NXT stars have been meeting with Raw and SmackDown General Managers to attempt to be signed to a top brand.

SmackDown is also set to be extended to 3 hours moving forward on January 2, 2026.

Joe Hendry Part Of Big Segment On WWE SmackDown

Hendry made his latest main roster appearance on the December 26 episode of SmackDown. After appearing in the ring in the opening segment to make fun of The Miz, both men faced off in a Miracle on 34th Street Fight. The match saw Hendry pick up the victory thanks to help from Akira Tozawa, Otis and R-Truth,
