Another championship has had a makeover.
Following the WWE Draft taking place in late April and early May, each brand would draft the other brand’s Women’s Champion, meaning that SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley being a part of Raw, and then Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair being drafted to SmackDown.
At the Night of Champions PLE, Asuka would defeat Belair to capture the title. On the June 9th edition of SmackDown, Adam Pearce would appear to present Asuka with a new championship, now recognising The Empress as the WWE Women’s Champion.
Asuka now joins Roman Reigns as a champion with a recently revamped design.
