AEW Star Brian Cage Undergoes Knee Surgery, Provides Update

Brian Cage

Brian Cage has revealed that he recently underwent another major procedure and has given an update to the fans.

In a post on social media, The Machine stated that he underwent a knee replacement surgery last week on top of his previous quad tendon surgery 2 months prior. Already back in the gym, Cage was seen working out while adding that he hoped to put the operation off until after All In: Texas in July:

“4 days post knee replacement (8 weeks post quad tendon repair) and I’m already back in the gym @projectwellbeingllc. Love me, hate me, or somewhere in-between, you can’t deny I’m a fucking machine! I’ve been dealing with excessive knee pain for years and have been working through it with the intention of going under the knife after All In. With the unfortunate set back of tearing my quad, I figured F it, let’s just get em both done. Not an easy or fun choice, but I’m gonna come back ripping heads off. Especially if this is me right now after surgery. Shout out to @kingricochet for filming and getting our set in.”

Brian Cage Preparing To Return From Injury

The former FTW Champion was last in action against Chris Masters at an OWA show. Cage and Lance Archer were originally set to challenge The Hurt Syndicate for the Tag Team Championships at AEW Revolution, but the match was changed due to Cage’s injury. The Learning Tree’s Big Bill and Bryan Keith were the replacement challengers and lost to Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin at the pay-per-view.

It is unknown how long Cage will be out of action for due to the nature of the 2 surgeries. Features of Wrestling would like to wish the AEW star a full and speedy recovery.
