AEW Grand Slam has been confirmed to take place at a smaller venue.

As announced on November 27th by Wrestle Radio AU, an email has been sent out to ticket holders informing them that the show will no longer take place at the 52,000-seat Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. Instead, Grand Slam will now take place at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, which has a capacity of approximately 13,500. AEW have yet to officially acknowledge the change in venue at the time of writing.

It was previously reported that AEW has been struggling with ticket sales for the Australian show 3 months on from when it was first announced. Follow-up reports indicated that due to poor ticket sales the show would be moved to a smaller venue and an announcement was set to be made soon.

Australia has not been known as a strong market in professional wrestling with WWE unable to sell out the Elimination Chamber show in Perth back in February.

When Is AEW Grand Slam 2025?

First announced at All In back in August, AEW will make its debut in Australia on Saturday, February 15th. The show has previously taken place in September at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York. This will be the first of 2 international shows set to take place the following year as Forbidden Door has also been announced for London in August 2025.
