AEW presents Full Gear on Saturday November 18th live from the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.
9 matches have been announced for the show, with MJF set to defend the AEW World Championship against Jay White in the main event of the show.
MJF & Partner TBA (c) vs. The Gunns – Tag team match for the ROH Tag Team Championships
With Adam Cole injured until further notice, MJF needs to find a new partner to defend the ROH Tag Titles with. Running out of friends due to attacks by the mysterious devil, MJF is running out of options. With Samoa Joe being the only man left standing, the AEW Champion may have to reluctantly side with Joe on the night. If so, MJF will likely retain the title to set up yet another future challenger as his contract nears its end.
Winner: MJF and mystery partner.
Hikaru Shida (c) vs. “Timeless” Toni Storm – Singles match for the AEW Women’s Championship
Toni Storm has been on the run of her career since becoming Timeless and the quest for gold at Hollywood is her fairy tale story. Storm winning the title looks inevitable, hopefully setting up for weeks of entertaining segments.
Winner: Toni Storm
Sting, Darby Allin and Adam Copeland vs. Christian Cage, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne
With Sting on the road to retirement, losses will be few and far between. Furthermore, with Copeland determined to get his hands on Cage, the two will either brawl to he back or Cage will flee, leaving Wayne at the mercy of Sting, Allin and maybe Copeland.
Winners: Sting, Darby Allin and Adam Copeland
Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Jon Moxley – Singles match for the AEW International Championship
This is arguably the hardest match on the card to call. Is Tony Khan looking to extend Orange Cassidy’s unplanned second reign or go back to plan A and give the title back to Jon Moxley. With Cassidy needing to beat the final boss Moxley, this could be Cassidy’s time to shine.
Winner: Orange Cassidy
“Hangman” Adam Page vs. Swerve Strickland – Texas Death Match
Following Strickland’s victory at WrestleDream, this rivalry has got a lot more personal as Page’s home was invaded. Looking for revenge for the savage act and likely setting up for a 3rd match, this appears to be Page’s match to win.
Winner: Adam Page
Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho vs. The Young Bucks
The stipulation has sadly made this match rather predictable. With Omega and Jericho being forced to split if they lose, it feels far too soon to split the team as they have only just got together. Omega and Jericho will win this match to receive the future opportunity at the Tag Team Championships.
Winners: Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega
Big Bill and Ricky Starks (c) vs. Rush and Dralistico vs. FTR vs. Malakai Black and Brody King – 4 Way match for the AEW Tag Team Championships
A match that feels like it is there to get everyone on the card. With the amount of teams in the match and Big Bill and Starks still relatively fresh as champions, expect a retention here.
Winners: Big Bill and Ricky Starks
Kris Statlander (c) vs. Skye Blue vs. Julia Hart – 3-way match for the TBS Championship
Although it feels like now is the right time for a new champion to be crowned, Statlander will escape with the title at Full Gear. With Blue and Hart at odds, they are likely to cancel each other out and leave Statlander to pick at the remains and retain the title.
Winner: Kris Statlander
MJF (c) vs. Jay White – Singles match for the AEW World Championship
All signs point to MJF retaining and regaining possession of the Triple B. The fact that there is a pay-per-view set for December in Long Island and MJF’s contract is up at the end of the year, AEW are setting up for a grand finale to close the year out.
Winner: MJF
