The Continental Classic continued and more took place on AEW Dynamite.
Round 2 of the round robin tournament kicked off on Dynamite with Claudio Castagnoli taking on Brody King and Kyle Fletcher taking on Shelton Benjamin. Unfortunately, due to injury one competitor has been removed form the Continental Classic and a replacement has been named. The Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal also took place on the show, where the winner will challenge MJF for the Dynamite Diamond Ring at the upcoming Worlds End pay-per-view.
The Following Results Took Place On AEW Dynamite:
- Kyle Fletcher defeated Shelton Benjamin in the Continental Classic Blue League
- Hook called out Nick Wayne but was attacked by The Patriarchy
- The Hurt Syndicate attacked numerous individuals backstage following Benjamin’s loss
- Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly won the Battle Royal, meaning that they will face each other to see who gets MJF
- Swerve Strickland defeated Max Caster
- Jay White defeated Pac. The Deathriders came out after the match but were attacked by White, Orange Cassidy and Adam Page
- Anna Jay defeated Penelope Ford
- Mina Shirakawa confronted Mariah May and issued a warning ahead of the Winter is Coming title match the following week
- Claudio Castagnoli defeated Brody King in the Continental Classic Gold League
