The fallout from Forbidden Door and more took place on the August 27 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Following a successful show in the UK, All Elite Wrestling will focus on the biggest events that took place in London while also beginning the build to All Out on September 20. The biggest stories from the show saw Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland being written off with injuries after being attacked by The Deathriders and a returning Wardlow, respectively. The attacks were addressed on the show, along with Darby Allin facing Claudio Casagnoli in a falls count anywhere match and Jon Moxley taking on Daniel Garcia.
Excalibur, Ian Riccaboni and a returning Taz were on commentary for the show.
AEW Dynamite Results For The August 27 Episode:
- After commentary stated that Will Ospreay will be out of action indefinitely, FTR and Stokely Hathaway interrupted. After FTR complained about the result at Forbiden Door, claiming that they should be champions due to the finish, Adam Copeland’s music hit. Christian Cage then launched a sneak attack on Stokely. It was then made offiical that Cope and Christian would fight FTR at All Out on September 20.
- A Darby Allin video package aired highlighting the punishment Allin received at FOrbidden Door. Allin laid down the challnge to Mox for All Out.
- Jon Moxley defeated Daniel Garcia, but rejected Allin’s challenge.
- Wheeler Yuta also demanded respect but was laid out by a returning Hook.
- MJF spoke about his loss at Forbiden Door, promising that he would get revenge on Mark Briscoe and would take the title from Adam Page.
- Kris Statlander & Harley Cameron defeated Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford
- Mercedes Mone spoke about her nine titles during her in-ring celebration, promising to collect more.
- Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita, Josh Alexander & Hechicero defeated Brodido & JetSpeed
- Adam Page appeared live and spoke about Forbidden Door before being interrupted by The Don Callis Family. As it appeared that Page was about to be attacked, Kenny Omega made the save.
- The Opps defeated Ricochet & G.O.A. to retain the AEW Trios Titles
- Darby Allin defeated Claudio Castagnoli in a falls count anywhere match. The Deathriders tried to attack Allin after the match, but Allin escaped.
