AEW Dynamite

Live from Toronto, AEW Dynamite and Rampage presented 3 hours of action on March 20th.

In a rare change in programming, AEW placed both shows on the same night, meaning that fans had a double helping of the action. Announced ahead of time were 2 title matches as Christian Cage and Eddie Kingston each defended their respective championships.

Additionally, Mercedes Mone, who made her debut for the company the previous week, once again addressed the fans regarding her intentions in AEW.

The Following Results Took Place On AEW Dynamite & AEW Rampage:

AEW Dynamite:

  • Mercedes Mone opened the show after being introduced by Tony Schiavone. Mone once again stated how happy she is to be in AEW before discussing the injury that nearly ended her career. A video package aired to highlight her accomplishments in NJPW and in Hollywood before stating that she intends to lead a women’s global revolution. The lights went out when they came back on Mone was confronted by Julia Hart and Skye Blue, who attempted to attack Mone, but The CEO stood tall. The lights went out again and Hart and Blue vanished. Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander came to the aid of Mone, with Nightingale teasing a chair shot on the CEO.
  • Kazuchika Okada defeated Eddie Kingston to become the new Continental Champion
  • Hook defeated Chris Jericho
  • Deonna Purrazzo and Thunder Rosa defeated Toni Storm and Mariah May
  • Swerve Strickland defeated The Butcher
  • Adam Copeland defeated Christian Cage to become the new TNT Champion

AEW Rampage:

  • The Best Friends defeated The Don Callis Family
  • Katsuyori Shibata squashed enhancement talent Kevin Matthews
  • Konosuke Takeshita defeated Rocky Romero
  • Skye Blue and Julia Hart defeated Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander in a street fight
