A major title match and more will take place on the October 23rd episode of AEW Dynamite.
Bac at the AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view, Mark Briscoe defeated Chris Jericho to retain the Ring of Honor World Championship. Not content with the loss, Jericho once again brought up the late Jay Briscoe while discussing his quest to become a 2-time holder of the title. Responding to the promo, Briscoe granted Jericho his rematch but stated that the violence needed to be cranked up, making the match a ladder match.
Also at WrestleDream, Kyle Fletcher made his decision and attacked Will Ospreay, allowing Konosuke Takeshita to capitalise and win the International Championship. Fletcher will be appearing live and will explain his actions on Dynamite.
Looking to continue his strong momentum following his arrival in the company, Shelton Benjamin will be in action once again. Benjamin’s opponent for the match will be former TNT Champion Sammy Guevara. Other highlights announced include Jon Moxley appearing live and Hook to confront the individual(s) who attacked his father Taz.
