A title match, a tournament will continue, MJF returns to action and more on the August 12 AEW Dynamite.
MJF made his shock return to AEW at the Grand Slam special in Mexico. After taking out Andrade El Idolo and reclaiming possession of his Dynamite Diamond Ring, MJF claimed that he was the true World Champion and that the current champion, Kenny Omega, is a false champion. Looking to repeat what happened last year, MJF will attempt to qualify for the Casino Gauntlet on next week’s show as he takes on Mike Bailey and Nick Wayne. Whoever wins the match will earn the number two spot in the match. Andrade El Idolo has already secured the number one spot.
The Continental Cup Tournament is now underway with Claudio Castagnoli, Eddie Kingston and Orange Cassidy all advancing to the next round. The tournament will continue on Dynamite, with Jay White facing David Finlay and Jon Moxley facing Jack Perry.
A title match has also been announced for the show. Looking to add another title to his lengthy accolades, Chris Jericho will take on TNT Champion Kevin Knight with the title on the line.
