For the 4th and potentially final time, AEW Dynamite will present the Grand Slam special of the show live from Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York.
The biggest match on the show may not actually happen concerning the events surrounding AEW All Out. At the pay-per-view, World Champion Bryan Danielson was suffocated with a plastic bag by Jon Molxey after successfully defending the title against Jack Perry. With original opponent Darby Allin now facing Jon Moxley, Nigel McGuinness has seized the opportunity and will face off against his long-time rival if The American Dragon has been cleared to compete.
For Allin, he was everything to lose at Grand Slam as he has put his World Championship opportunity up for grabs against the former World Champion, who has orchestrated a violent series of events ever since he returned.
Also at All Out, Swerve Strickland lost a violent cage match against Adam Page that saw a hypodermic needle and a chair shot to the head. While Strickland will not be appearing live, Prince Nana will provide an update on the former World Champion.
Multiple championships will also be on the line as the Women’s, Tag Team and FTW titles are all set to be defended.
