Multiple number one contenders were crowned and more on the AEW Dynamite: Fright Night special, which aired live on October 29.
With Full Gear the next AEW pay-per-view set to take place, 2 number one contenders matches were announced for the show, which determined who would be next in line to face World Champion Adam Page and Tag Team Champions Brodido.
The tournament to crown the first-ever Women’s Tag Team Champions in AEW also kicked off on the show, with Jamie Hayter and Queen Aminata faced Julia Hart and Skye Blue.
AEW Dynamite: Fright Night Results October 29:
- Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy defeated Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia
- FTR defeated JetSpeed, Young Bucks and Jurassic Express to earn an AEW World Tag Team Championships match at Full Gear.
- Don Callis presented the family summit, and answered the following questions:
- Who is The Family? Rocky Romero answered with an ugly painting of the whole group.
- What is The Family? Josh Alexander presented a dramatic video package highlighting the group’s dominance.
- Why is The Family? Kyle Fletcher went over the odd oath they all had to sign to join, promising loyalty.
- How does The Family work? Callis explained that everything goes through him.
- Konosuke Takeshita arrived to the summit late, and was told to shake Kazuchika Okada’s hand. Okadagave Takeshita the middle finger instead, leading to Callis demand they both team up at Collision.
- Jon Moxley vs. Kyle O’Reilly went to a double count out. After the match The Deathriders and The Conglomeration & Darby Allin brawled, leading to a Blood and Guts challenge being made by the babyfaces.
- Julia Hart and Skye Blue Jamie Hayter and Queen Aminata to advance to the semifinals of the Women’s World Tag Team Championships Tournament.
- Samoa Joe defeated Hook, Ricochet and Bobby Lashley to earn a shot at the AEW World Championship at Full Gear.
