The first AEW Dynamite of the year was a Fight For The Fallen special episode and the start of a new era for All Elite Wrestling.
Taking place in Asheville, North Carolina, proceeds from the show will be donated to help those in the area who were affected by Hurricane Helene in 2024. The city of Asheville and surrounding areas was decimated by the hurricane and many in the area are still struggling months later.
In addition to helping those in need, the first Dynamite of the year is also the first show as part of AEW’s new media rights extension with Warner Bros. Discovery. The show saw Adam Copeland team with FTR to take on The Deathriders. Copeland made his return to the promotion at AEW Worlds End.

- After Excalibur ran down the card for the show, a video package aired with Jon Moxley addressing the events that took place at Worlds End and all that he had done for AEW
- Adam Page defeated Orange Cassidy
- The Hurt Syndicate defeated The Acclaimed
- Julia Hart defeated Jamie Hayter
- Mercedes Mone presented a video package about herself and hyped up her upcoming match against Mina Shirakawa at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5th
- Jay White defeated Swerve Strickland and Roderick Strong. White will get the first spot in the Casino Gauntlet match the next week
- Jeff Jarrett announced that he had signed his final wrestling contract, meaning he is officially on the road to retirement
- Powerhouse Hobbs won a squash match
- Rated FTR defeated The Death Riders
