A World Championship match, TNT Title match and more took place on the April 29 AEW Dynamite.
The main event of the April 22 broadcast saw Darby Allin successfully defend the World Championship against Tommaso Ciampa in what was his first title defence. Still looking to be a fighting champion, Allin once again put the gold on the line, this time against Brody King.
Additionally, MJF challenged Kevin Knight for the TNT Championship, Divine Dominion defended their Women’s Tag Titles, and Kazuchika Okada put his International Championship on the line.
AEW Dynamite April 29 Results:
- Kevin Knight defeated MJF to retain the TNT Championship. MJF attacked Knight after the bell, but Darby Allin made the save by descending from the rafters. Allin later offered King a title match if he survived Brody King in the main event.
- The Brawling Birds won a squash match.
- Kazuchika Okada defeated Ace Austin to retain the International Championship.
- Will Ospreay appeared by video and appears to have taken up The Deathrriders’ offer to be a more dangerous competitor.
- Christian Cage and Cope defeated RPG Vice.
- The Divine Dominion defeated Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida to retain the Women’s Tag Team Championships.
- Rush won a squash match.
- Darby Allin defeated Brody King to retain the AEW World Championship.
