Adam Copeland AEW Return Imminent

Adam Copeland

Fans hoping to see Adam Copeland back in action will not have long to wait.

The Rated R Superstar has been out of action for over 6 months as he suffered a fractured tibia in his barbed wire steel cage match against Malakia Black at Double or Nothing. According to a new report, Copeland is due back on a very significant episode of Dynamite.

On the December 18th episode of Dynamite, FTR appeared in a pre-taped segment and informed the fans that they would not be back until the January 1st Fight For The Fallen special episode of Dynamite to finish their business with The Deathriders. The tag team also added they would not be coming alone, leading many to speculate that Copeland could fight alongside his friends. As reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful SelectCopeland has been cleared to compete for a number of weeks and is expected to make his return on the New Year’s Day special according to those within the company. Given that the January 1st show marks a new era in AEW, many are also expecting a newsworthy show.

Why Has Adam Copeland Delayed His AEW Return?

It was previously reported in late November that Adam Copeland was cleared for physicality following the broken leg earlier in the year. The reason for the delay was because the former TNT Champion was finishing up his Percy Jackson series, which he also received an Emmy nomination for.
