AEW Revolution 2023 Predictions

AEW Revolution 2023 Predictions

AEW will present the Revolution pay-per-view for the 4th time on Sunday, March 5th. The event will be held at the Chase Center in Sacramento. This will be AEW’s first PPV airing live in the state of California.

Chris Jericho vs. Ricky Starks – JAS banned from ringside

With no Jericho Appreciation Society to give Jericho the upper hand, expect multiple underhanded tactics from The Ocho to come into play. While Jericho will appear to have the match won on multiple occasions, this is Stark’s match to win.

Prediction : Ricky Starks

The Elite (c) vs. The House of Black – Trios match for the AEW Trios Championships

With little build between the two teams seen on Dynamite and Rampage, this feels like the start of the feud and not the conclusion. The Elite will retain the titles in a controversial finish, potentially setting up a potential gimmick match for a future episode of Dynamite.

Prediction: The Elite

Samoa Joe (c) vs. Wardlow – Singles match for the TNT Championship

This match feels like the best opportunity to give the fans the feel good moment in the show. Wardlow is looking to get payback on Joe for the impromptu haircut carried out by the champion. Wardlow will retain and look strong in victory. With the initial reign cut short with injury, it feels like there is more of a story to tell with Wardlow holding the gold.

Prediction: Wardlow

“Hangman” Adam Page vs. Jon Moxley – Texas Death match

With crazy spots and lots of blood, this will be the match that fans will remember the most from this show and will be seen the most on social media. Moxley will lose the match via a big crash into furniture, potentially with fire or barbed wire, allowing Mox to take a break and for Page to win the rivalry. This also feels like this may set up Page as the next challenger for the World Championship.

Prediction: Adam Page

Jamie Hayter (c) vs. Ruby Soho vs. Saraya – 3 way match for the AEW Women’s Championship

The direction for Hayter appears to be an eventual face-off against current friend Britt Baker. Soho and Saraya will most likely frequently work together to try and keep Hayter out of the match, but the champion will retain the title.

Prediction: Jamie Hayter

The Gunn Club (c) vs. The Acclaimed vs. Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal vs. TBC – 4 way match for the AEW Tag Team Championships

The Gunn Club have only just win the titles, so ending the reign this early feels too short. Billy Gunn will likely factor into the finish, either intentionally or accidentally causing his sons to win the match. Also, Jarrett and Lethal may frequently get the upper hand with the help of Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh, who will get ejected part way through the match.

Prediction: The Gunn Club

MJF (c) vs. Bryan Danielson – 60 minute Ironman match for the AEW World Championship

Despite the odds being stacked against MJF with the stipulation, the weeks of torment on Danielson will take their toll. With The American Dragon likely taking an early lead, MJF may lose a fall via disqualification, but use the advantage gained to take the lead. MJF will win the match with either a last minute tie breaker victory, or being able to hold on long enough so Danielson just misses out on winning.

Prediction: MJF
