A major title change took place on the February 8th edition of AEW Dynamite.

In the main event of the show, Austin and Colten Gunn would defeat The Acclaimed to become the new AEW Tag Team Champions.

The match took place in the main event of the show. The referee would spill to the outside of the ring, causing The Gunns to take advantage. Austin Gunn attempted to use the titles as a weapon, but Billy Gunn would come to the ring. Daddy Ass prevented the title shot to the head, but was then struck by his other son Colten.

Max Caster attempted to revive the referee, who counted 2 before passing out once again. Anthony Bowens was struck with a title belt, allowing Austin Gunn to roll up Bowens to win the match and become the new champions.

The victory marks the first championships held by The Gunn Club. Their father Billy Gunn is a decorated tag team wrestler, winning the tag titles 11 times while competing for WWE.
