The Tribal Chief will be returning to WWE TV on December 16th.
WWE have announced that Roman Reigns will be appearing live on SmackDown for the first time since he and the rest of The Bloodline were victorious at the Survivor Series WarGames PLE.
With the next Premium Live Event being the Royal Rumble in 2023, it appears that Kevin Owen’s will be the next challenger for Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. This matchup has the potential to be acknowledged on the progeamme.
Two championships will be defended on the December 16th SmackDown. As Ricochet won the SmackDown Word Cup on December 2nd, the former United States Champion won a trophy and an opportunity at the Intercontinental Championship, currently held by Gunther. the match has been announced for December 16th. The other championship to be defended is the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, as Damage CTRL’s IYO SKY and Dakota Kai will defend the titles against Liv Morgan and Tegan Nox.

- Gunther (c) vs. Ricochet – Singles match for the Intercontinental Championship
